Our company deals with professional horizontal road marking. We also perform renovation work such as restoration and removal of obsolete road marking. We have suitable equipment to measure the marking parameters, including night visibility (Rl), day visibility (Qd, β), chromaticity coordinates (x,y), surface roughness (SRT) and thickness.

PPUD S.A. company abandons traditional, invasive methods of removing old paint coatings with milling machines in favour of modern, ecological water-based solutions. For this purpose, we use an innovative high-pressure blasting unit from FALCH GmbH mounted on a two-axle trailer.

Thin-Layer Marking

Made with solvent-based or two-component acrylic paints. The type of materials used depends on customer requirements and needs.

Basic technical data of thin-layer markings:
  • paints applied in a layer thickness of 0.3 mm to 0.8 mm

  • applied by hydrodynamic spraying

  • white or other colour as permitted by law

  • bringing retroreflectivity by spraying retroreflective microspheres as standard

Thick-Layer Markings

Made with chemically hardened compounds. Technology used for both smooth and structured lines. Thick-layer horizontal marking is made with the use of specialized equipment, using the highest quality materials of KONTUR Sp. z o.o. company, a leading manufacturer of road paints. The type of technology employed depends on customer requirements and needs. Road surface markings using thick-layer technology, for which the thickness of the applied layer ranges from 0.9 mm to 5 mm, are executed on new sections of provincial roads, national roads, express roads and motorways under construction.

Renewal and renovation of horizontal road markings

Oznakowanie poziome dróg technologią grubowarstwową po kilku latach traci swoje parametry eksploatacyjne. Skuteczną metodą odnowy takiego oznakowania bez konieczności jego usuwania, a zatem bez ponoszenia dodatkowych kosztów, jest renowacja takiego oznakowania polegająca na nałożeniu cienkiej, o grubości ok. 1mm, warstwy spray-plastu na gorąco lub spray-plastu na zimno, na istniejące oznakowanie oraz posypanie jej odpowiednią ilością mikrokulek szklanych. Tak odnowione oznakowanie przez kolejne lata może służyć użytkownikom dróg. Wykonanie takiej renowacji można wykonać tylko za pomocą specjalistycznych urządzeń których producentami są czołowe europejskie firmy.

- masy nakładane na gorąco warstwą od 0,9 mm do 5 mm;
- trwałość oznakowania 3-4 razy dłuższa niż przy malowaniu cienkowarstwowym;

- technologia doskonale sprawdzająca się na nawierzchniach typu SMA.

Renewal and renovation of horizontal road markings

Road surface markings made with thick-layer technology lose their operational parameters after a few years. An effective method of renewing such markings without having to remove them, and therefore without incurring significant additional costs, is to refinish such markings by applying a thin layer of sprayplast, approximately 1 mm thick, over the existing markings and sprinkling an appropriate amount of glass microspheres on it. Such renewed marking can serve road users for years to come. This type of renovation can be done only with specialized equipment manufactured by leading European companies.

Removal of obsolete horizontal road markings

Maszyna ta dzięki zastosowaniu specjalistycznych głowic oraz systemu podawania i regulacji ciśnienia wody pozwala na bezinwazyjne usunięcie starego oznakowania bez naruszania struktury nawierzchni.

In the era of development of express roads, bypasses and motorways, the road managers (General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, as well as Regional, Municipal and County Roads Authorities) change the organization of roads, and consequently the marking, more frequently. To becomes then necessary to remove the old markings and apply new ones or just remove the old paint coating. Both of these services are included within the scope of activity of PPUD S.A. Each order is priced individually in consultation with the customer.

The parameters of road marking must be in accordance with the requirements of PN-EN 1436 standard, the provisions of the detailed technical specification and the design documentation. We have suitable equipment to measure the marking parameters, including night visibility (Rl), day visibility (Qd, β), chromaticity coordinates (x,y), surface roughness (SRT) and thickness. We test markings both in-house and when commissioned by third parties. Each order is valued taking into account customer requirements.
